About this site

This site is different for two reasons:

  1. Many sites in english give information that is relevant to Americans, but there is a lack of information geared to the Canadian immigrant to Portugal
  2. Most sites are run by people who are looking to make money from providing relocation services, and therefore don't give a balanced view of some of the difficulties one will inevitably experience in moving here. This site is an attempt to provide more balanced information. I do not take money from any source, I run this site as a free service to help Canadians make the right decisions on a major life event, moving to a new continent.

The world is your oyster

Europe seems to be having issues right now, and trending worse each election cycle. But do not despair, the world is your oyster.

Keep an open mind and find a place that respects diversity and wants to attract investment and immigration both.
